Description: | 1. John Glover of London, merchant,
2. Jeremiah Elgar of London, linen draper, and Elizabeth his wife,
3. Phillips Glover of Wispington, esq.
Whereas 1. and Elizabeth are half brother and sister to 3. and Maria his sister; and whereas Maria, of Red Lyon Street, St Andrew, Holborn, died on 28 May last, possessed of a large personal estate [see FL/GLOVER/1/3/16-18]; 3. agrees to pay £1,000 to 1. now, and £1,000 when Richard his son becomes of age. Arrangements are made for transferring this sum, in South Sea stock.
Enclosed:
(a) Sheaf of receipts; legacy payments to Elizabeth Elgar, 1823-1832.
(b) Form of consent. Elizabeth Elgar consents to the lending of £500 to her husband, William Smith and Peter Bonouvrier, all of Aldgate, London, linen drapers; she also indemnifies Phillips Glover, her Trustee, 16 May 1732.
(c) Discharge of Trusts. Peter Bonouvrier, his wife Elizabeth, late wife of Jeremiah Elgar, deceased, and Richard Glover of London, merchant, to Phillips Glover.
