The manors of Sedgebrook and Casthorpe and lands etc. in Sedgebrook, Newbo, Casthorpe and Barrowby which had been settled by a lease and release of 14-15 Sep 1665 between Robert Markham of Sedgebrook, bart, since deceased, Robert Markham his son and heir, Thomas lord Fairfax, Thomas Hussey of Doddington Pigott, bart, John Legard of Canton, Yorkshire, bart, John White of Cottgrave, Nottinghamshire, esq, Nicholas Widdrington of Cheeseburne Grange, Northumberland, gent, Mary Widrington one of the daughters and co-heirs of Sir Thomas Widdrington, sergeant at law, late of the city of York, deceased, Anthony Markham second son of the then Sir Robert, deceased, Elizabeth, Jane, Anne, Katherine and Diana Markham five younger daughters of the then Sir Robert, Sir John Bolles of Scampton, bart, William Welby of Denton, esq, William Thornton of Grantham, gent, on the now Sir Robert for life, remainder to George Markham and the heirs male of his body, now subdivided to various uses.

To the use of Sir Robert Markham for life, and afterwards except for the site of the manor, the coney greene and chief rents of Allington, to trustees for 200 years and after to trustees for 500 years, the manor site and coney greene and chief rents of Allington coming under this term, afterwards to the use of George Markham and his heirs male of his body and after to the right heirs of Sir Robert Markham; Closes known as long lands, salowwong, rye and holme, great gossey and lesser gossey in Newbo and Barrowby in occupation Sir Robert Markham also 3 millcloses, abbots close, townmeadows, Peters well, ruler close, thurney month, thurney meadow, sister dayles, Perrins close, Coxes walk, Coxes close, little hey close, the spinney, deepdale close, great muston close, deep dale hanging wongs, and reddlands, lesser Muston close, Machins pasture and long meadow close, mill field, crookhamnook, laming close, great ley close in Sedgebrook, in occupation Sir Robert Markham, to Sir Robert for life, to the executors for 1000 years, then to George Markham and his heirs. The 200 year term mentioned is to raise £4000 for the portions of Robert and Ursula Markham two younger children of Sir Robert.
The 500 year term to raise £10,000 for portions for daughters and younger sons of George Markham. Provision also for £6000 for wife of Sir Robert if he marry again and provision for a wife surviving George Markham.
Provision for making void the terms under certain contingencies.
Endorsements dated 29th May 1691 and 10th February 1699/1700 of deeds by which Sir George Markham after the death of his father and surrender of terms, declared the uses and terms in the deed to be void and the property to be to the use of him and his heirs.
