Description: | Robert Burns (1759-96) Scotland's National Poet was born in a small cottage in Alloway, Ayrshire. He married Jean Armour (1767-1834) the daughter of a Mauchline stonemason in 1788. She and Burns had 9 children, the last child being born on the day of her husband's funeral.
The ring (one of a set of 2) is on display in Burns Cottage Museum in Alloway.
