Description: | Robert Burns (1759-96) Scotland's National Poet who was born in Alloway Ayrshire was married to a Mauchline girl named Jean Armour (1767-1834), the daughter of a stone-mason. She and Burns were married in 1788 and had 9 children the last child being born on the day of Burns' funeral.
The ring is on display in the Burns Cottage Museum in Alloway.
On display is the wedding ring that belonged to Jean Armour the wife of the Poet.
