Description: | A fragment of a small quoit brooch of Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon), 5th century date. Length: 19.5mm; width: 11.1mm; thickness: 0.4mm; weight: 1.19g. Treasure case no. 2008 T519.The fragment is decorated at the front and consists of a repetitive 'C-'scroll design with an outer border composed of a zigzag and pellets. The rear face is plain and there is an old break at each end.The estimated outer diameter of the brooch is c. 38.0mm.
