Description: | Medieval vesica shaped seal matrix. Cast in copper alloy the matrix is an uninscribed ecclesiastical type. There is a standing ecclesiastical (saintly) female figure, possibly Mary, draped and wearing a habit. The figure is holding two sheilds, one in each hand. The shield to the right id decorated with two open circles at the top, with a plain area below. The left shield is decorated with 6 flower motifs with a simple beaded border offset from the outer edge. It is 44mm long and 27mm wide.
