Description: | The object is the leg/foot of a cooking vessel. The leg is cast copper alloy. In plan it is an elongated trapezoidal shape. The most narrow edge is the upper broken edge. In length the leg is 26.4mm, 44.8mm wide at the foot and 25.9mm thick at the thickest point at the foot.
In section (horizontal section) the leg is a sub-rectangular shape with a central vertical ridge on the outer surface. The section gradually gets wider towards the foot. The base of the foot is a sub rectangular shape in plan, with rounded edges and irregular surface.
The upper edge is broken, but not recently.
The surface of the leg is slightly pitted with corrosion, and has a black soot deposit on the outer and inner surfaces. There are traces of a green/brown patina.
