General Helmuth von Moltke was the nephew of the first Chief of the German General Staff Helmuth von Moltke the elder.
Became Chief of the General Staff in 1906. Commanded the invasion of Belgium and France in 1914. On the failure of the Schlieffen Plan he
was replaced by Falkenhayn on 14 September 1914.
