This poster claims that the German army has violated the humanitarian aims of the Hague conference, which can be seen
in the instructions to troops - the 'Kriegsbrauch'- Requirements of War.
The two text panels give extracts from the 'Kriegsbrauch' detailing harsh treatments for military and civilian enemies. Further text below
refutes Hindenburg's quotation that a pitiless swift war is more humane than a slow one by saying that terror evokes
resistance.
