Description: | 1414 PTE F.E.EMERY.13/LOND:REGT-T.F.
First World War Distinguished Conduct Medal awarded to (1414) Private F E Emery (Princess Louise's Kensington Battalion, London Regiment). Army Order 161, 1915, a copy of which accompanies the piece, states 'For conspicuous gallantry on 8th December, 1914, in assisting to carry a wounded man on a stretcher, although himself seriously wounded. He completed his duty and then immediately collapsed.'
