Obverse: An armed warrior, holding a wreathed trident, resting on his shield, the lion and the unicorn behind; view of the action in the distance, some ships on fire. Legend: 'GALLIS OCEANO EXPULSIS A CLASSE BRITANNO-BATAVICA MDCXCII' (The French fleet driven from the sea by the British and Dutch fleets, 1692). Reverse: Two officers, one brandishing a sword, the other a trident, driving Neptune's two-horsed car across the sea; view of the action in the distance, the town of Barfleur (left), King Louis XIV in flight (right), his naval car drawn by frogs. Legend: 'PSEUDO NEPTUNO MARI EIECTO' (The false Neptune driven from the sea). Inscribed on car: 'RUSSEL ET ALMONDE'. These two admirals commanded the English and Dutch squadrons.
