Description: | Two tin letters 'A' from the decoration of Nelson's funeral carriage. The letters originally formed part of Nelson's motto 'Palmam qui meruit ferat'. After the funeral, the carriage was displayed in the Painted Hall of Greenwich Hospital until it disintegrated and was broken up in circa 1826.
