Description: | Scale: circa 1:18. Ethnographic boat model of a Chinese k'uai-tu ('quick leaping') or war junk. One unrigged mast. Square platform at bow. Brightly painted. Rudder and keel fenestrated suggesting represents craft from Kwangtung. Equipped with six light pivot guns and four shields on either gunwale. These vessels can be up to 22 metres in length.
TRIM Reference GEN/36318. Vessel was used to police rivers and creeks with a crew of 40 to 60.
