Description: | Gold ring set with a cornelian intaglio, the shoulders of the ring are slightly decorated. The intaglio is decorated with a profile portrait depicting Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), facing to the right. There is a label attached to the ring which is inscribed with the words 'Said to have been given by Ld Nelson to Horatia aged 12'. Horatia Nelson (1801-1881) was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805).
