Description: | Admiral Sir Richard Keats (d. 1834) preceded Sir Thomas Hardy as Governor of Greenwich Hospital, 1821-34. This is an engraving of the monument, with his bust by Chantrey, set up to his memory by his old naval friend King William IV, in the Chapel of Greenwich Hospital (now the Old Royal Naval College). It remains as shown here, on the right of the main door as one leaves, under the pillared organ loft. A matching monument to Hardy (d. 1839) with a bust by William Behnes stands on the other side of the door. This print is almost certainly cut from a periodical, not so far identified, and is mounted on a sheet with PAI8793-PAI8797.
