Description: | Scale: Not to scale. A model of a Maltese luzzu, a double-ended rowing boat used for fishing and inter-island transport. The hull is brightly painted in blue below the waterline, brown at, and above, the keel, and varnished above. A coffee-coloured panel runs the length of the port and starboard sides with gold beading above and below, and on which is painted black filigree decoration and marked "34". The stem and stern posts are high and painted green. The round-bottomed rudder has an inter grated tiller which is also painted green. The deck is painted salmon pink and has two thwarts. The lower part of the interior of the hull and the bottom of the boat is green. There are two green-painted oars, with spear-shaped blades. The model is displayed on a pair of plywood crutches attached to a simple lozenge-shaped plywood baseboard. On plywood panel attached to baseboard "Luzzu".
