Description: | Scale: Unknown. A model of an Amerindian birch bark canoe made in wood and animal skin. The hull is double-ended and built plank-on-frame which has been covered with a number of animal hides secured to the hull by ties along the bulwarks. The model is completely open and shows the framing and planking which has been painted black throughout. There are two thwarts, one amidships and the other between the first thwart and one end of the boat. The model is in poor condition with a hole at the bottom of the hull and damage to one end.
