Description: | Scale: Unknown. A full hull and rigged model of a two masted Wei Hai Wei sampan fishing vessel. The hull is carved from a solid piece of wood with the upper works, decks and fittings pinned and glued on. There are four large thole pins or mooring bollards at the bow and stern, and an outrigger on the port side aft for the large steering oar. There are two masts complete with fully battened sails and metal whilst an anchor painted black, is fastened to a post on the bow. It is finished in a natural and varnished(?) wood. It is currently packed in a modern (Russell Hobbs kettle) cardboard box.
