Description: | Scale: 1:96. A full hull model of the ship-rigged clipper Coriolanus (1876) made entirely in wood with metal and organic material fittings and painted. The vessel is depicted fully-rigged on all three masts and bowsprit. The hull is painted brick red below the waterline, with a broad pink stripe above, black above the waterline and unpainted strakes and gunwales. Fittings include a forecastle encircled by a white-painted guard rail, and accommodating a capstan and single davits for working the anchors; five yards on the foremast and mizzen and six yards on the mainmast with all the masts and yards painted brown; rectangular deckhouse abaft the foremast; four boats, all painted white and stowed on raised transverse rails, two boats upturned stowed between the fore and mainmast and the others between the main and mizzen; poop deck with a whit-painted guard rail and accommodating the mizzen and ship?s wheel. The model is mounted on four turned brass pillar supports and displayed in a glazed display case.
