Description: | Scale: probably 1:24. A contemporary, full hull model of a schooner or brigantine (circa 1820) built in frame and partially planked. It is complete with deck beams, carlings and hatches, two mast positions and the riding bitts up in the bow. Although the model is pierced for 10 guns, it is not certain as to whether it represents a man-of-war or a merchantman. At this scale, it represents a vessel measuring 70 feet along the deck by 20 feet in the beam.
