Description: | Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the starboard side of the third class cruiser HMS Barracouta (1889), made entirely in wood and painted pink-brown below the waterline and black above the waterline. Hull details include two rows of portholes; rudder; starboard hawse hole; what appears to be a gun placement amidships; foredeck with bridge and wave deflector; and aft deck with deckhouse and small gun. Other features and fittings include superstructure amidships, single funnel painted pink-brown, and stump foremast and mainmast. The model is displayed on a backboard painted off-white with a mahogany-stained frame. On plaque attached to top right-hand side of backboard ?Barracouta?.
