Description: | 22d Sept'r 1815. A Copy of the alterations in red were sent to Woolwich for fitting her and the Newcastle for the reception of a Flag Officer. By Warrabt dated the 5th July 16 The Portsmnouth Officers were directed to remove the Bulkhead and Cabins that had been built on the main deck of the Leander, for fitting her as a Flag Ship. She being now intended for a differnet service; see Captain Chetham letter dated the 4th July 1816. / N.B. An alteration of the Cabins sent since the above which Portsmouth Officers are to return when done with.
Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the upper deck for Leander (1813) and Newcastle (1813), both 50-gun Fourth Rate Large Frigates. The alterations in red ink relate to their 1815 refit for foreign service at Woolwich Dockyard and the plan shows preparations for receiving a Flag Officer. The bulkheads and cabins were removed from the Leander, during a refit in 1816 at Portsmouth as she was to be sent on a different station.
