Description: | On the left is a bow view of a ship heeled over by men furling sails on the port yardarms. In the centre are an admiral and vice-admiral with pendants at the main and their sails partly furled. Two other flagships are in the right distance.
This drawing is one of six that are broadly carried out, but with light fluid wash, ruled horizons and lack of precision in the distant ships, suggesting the Elder?s work. The work is approximately dated by style and watermark.
