Description: | Scale: 1:192. Full hull model of the aircraft carrier HMS 'Eagle' (1946). The model is decked and equipped and is depicted as it appeared in the 1960s. An accompanying plaque is inscribed ?H.M.S. Eagle. Built Harland Wolff of Belfast Completed Oct. 1951. Modernised at Devonport 1959-1964. Displacement: 54,100 tons (full load). Length: 811 � Ft. Beam: 171 Ft. Draught: 36 Ft. Complement: 2, 750. Max. Shaft H.P. 152, 000. 29.5 knots?.
The name ?Eagle? is painted on the quarters and the stern and ?RO5? is on the superstructure. ?E?, ?Keep Clear?, ?1? ?2? ?3? ?4? ?5? are painted on the deck; ?Royal Navy? on the aircraft and helicopters. There are draught marks on the bow. The model was made for the Admiralty by Julian Glossop.
