Description: | Scale: Unknown. A miniature waterline model of the USNS oil tanker Petrolite (1944) made entirely in wood with metal fittings and painted in realistic colours. A number of fittings and features have been drawn onto the model rather than depicted in three dimensions. The hull is a three-island configuration painted red at the waterline, black above. Features include a forecastle with jackstaff at the bow; midship superstructure positioned forward of amidships and comprising the bridge pilot house and bridge wings; stern superstructure comprising the main accommodation, single black-painted funnel with broad white horizontal stripe and pair of lifeboats; ensign staff; companionways connecting the forecastle and midship superstructure and midship superstructure and stern; and a foremast and mainmast.
