The plan illustrates the ship prior to being fitted as a British 74-gun Third Rate, two-decker.
NMM, Progress Book, volume 2, folio 633 states that Centaur arrived at Chatham Dockyard on 6 November 1759 and was docked on 6 December. She was undocked on 16 February 1760 and sailed on 30 May 1760 having been fitted.
