Description: | Scale: Unknown. A half plating model of the starboard side of the vehicle ferry Arran (1953) made entirely in wood, marked in black penwork and varnished a golden brown finish. The hull has a single strake in a different, darker, wood running from close to the bow and encompassing the stern. The markings show features such as plating positions, bulkheads, portholes, windows and the starboard propeller shaft tunnel. There is a deep well deck positioned aft of amidships on a level with the strake that effectively divides the superstructure into two sections. The model is mounted onto a rectangular fibreboard storage backboard.
