Description: | Portrait of the ?Tiger?, viewed from the port quarter. On the tafferel is a small royal arms in a compartment between two supporting animals.
It is an accurate drawing, though heavily worked up with wash. It is based on an offset, but the royal arms on the stern are not in reverse. The drawing is strongly marked with a pencil or stylus and an offset has been taken form it.
The original of the stern and quarter-gallery may be a drawing in the Boymans-van Beuningen Museum, Rotterdam, showing the stern in less detail and the ship less foreshortened.
