Description: | Scale: 1:12. A full hull model of the ?jack? or small schooner Katie N (1930), made entirely in wood with metal and organic material fittings and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted brick red below the waterline, white above and with black bulwarks. Hull details include a sloping keel; scuppers running most of the vessel?s length; rectangular rudder; and a single two-bladed propeller. The depicted vessel is two-masted and fully rigged as a schooner with set sails. A large jib sail is set on the white-painted bowsprit and single sails are set in the foremast and mainmast, which both have white-painted tops. The sails are all made from ivory-coloured material. Other fittings include a pair of anchors stowed at the bow; several buckets; two companion hatch covers; and a white tiller. The model is displayed on a wooden lattice frame baseboard.
