Description: | Scale: 1:48. A full hull model of the yawl Florinda (1873), made entirely in wood with metal and organic material fittings and painted in realistic colours. The model depicted fully rigged on its single mast, with sails set. The hull is painted ochre below the waterline, black above. The bowsprit, mainmast and yards, and small steering mast at the stern are all depicted in polished wood. Two jib sails are set on the bowsprit, two sails on the mainmast, and small sail set at the stern. Other fittings include windlass, two skylights and tiller. The model is mounted on a pair of decoratively-turned pillar supports and displayed on a rectangular mahogany baseboard.
