Description: | Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the starboard side of the first class cruiser HMS Edgar (1890), made entirely in wood and painted pink-brown below the waterline, a narrow white stripe above and black above the waterline. Hull details include a ram bow; two rows of portholes; two gun placements fore and aft of amidships; and balanced rudder. Other features and fittings include wave deflector; observation deck or bridge; two guns mounted fore and aft and painted black; two stump funnels painted ochre; and stump foremast and mainmast. The model is displayed on a backboard painted off-white with a mahogany-stained frame. On plaque attached to top right-hand side of backboard ?Edgar?.
