Description: | Scale: 1:12. A full hull model of a river and coastal flat-bottomed barge (circa 1500), for transporting cargo. The model is decked. The hull is constructed in clinker fashion with sawn timber frames. The model was originally presented to the Woolwich Rotunda Museum in 1823 and the inventory (reference number A276) describes it as ?an ancient Danish vessel, found buried near a branch of the River Rother in Kent?.
