Description: | Scale: Unknown. A model of a Burmese ferry made entirely in wood, the hull of which is carved from a single piece of wood. It has been stained and varnished a uniform mid-brown colour and mounted on two metal supports fixed to the bevelled wooden base board. There are a pair of washstrakes running almost the entire length of the vessel. The bow terminates at a point and the stern is curved and sculpted. A cylindrical cabin is placed aft. A steersman is depicted sitting on a high steering platform aft with a steering oar over the port quarter. The steersman has a top-knot and is wearing a cream long sleeved top with red polka dots. The model is equipped with three paddles and steering oar. The baseboard has turned moulded pillars painted black and is inscribed "(6)".
