Description: | Scale unknown. A contemporary half hull model of a lighter (circa 1913), an un-powered cargo vessel. The model depicts a dumb barge in longitudinal half hull with a section cut away and partially decked. Hull planking has been arranged using alternate dark- and pale-stained mahogany, producing a striped effect possibly to indicate the various loaded waterlines, similar to model lighter SLR1412. It is thought that this model was made for survey purposes and as an aid for legal cases.
CA: AAA.
