Description: | Scale: Unknown. A proposal for a full hull model of a Royal Naval boat made entirely in wood and painted. The hull is long, double-ended and shallow draft. The hull is painted white below the waterline, green above. Fittings include provision for ten oars each side, ten thwarts, side and stern seat with backboard, and a rudder that follows the curvature of the stern post. The model is mounted on a pair of turned wooden pillar supports and displayed on a rectangular mahogany baseboard with bun feet. On plaque ?Model of boat Extreme length 43ft 10in Proposed by Capt Maitland, R.N.?.
