Description: | Portrait of the ?Prins te Paard?, carefully worked up with pencil and wash.
She is viewed from the starboard quarter. On the tafferel is a man on a prancing horse; a tree is on the right and a crowned shield on the top left. On the rail above are the arms of Amsterdam (three saltires on a pale) between two dolphins. Two shields are on the counter, on the port side a lion rampant and on the starboard side crossed anchors for the Admiralty of Amsterdam.
In the Boymans-van Beuningen Museum, Rotterdam, there is an offset (242) related to this drawing inscribed ?de prins te paert?, and another offset (467) inscribed ?Jonge prins te paert?. There is also a drawing of the same ship by the Younger in the NMM: PAH5016.
