?sodato, quins vergadt?
A port-quarter view of the ?Saudadoes?, built as a yacht of 6 guns 1670, rebuilt as a sixth-rate 1673, captured 1696. Also called the ?Sodalis?. The drawing is inscribed in brown ink ?sodato, quins vergadt? [?Saudadoes?, the Queen?s frigate], referring to the fact that the yacht was built especially for Queen Katherine, who revisited Lisbon in her in 1670.
A faint offset, rubbed on the back, showing her ship-rigged. The waterline aft is strengthened with brown ink.
Box Title: D31 M362-M377.
