Description: | Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the starboard side of a yacht (fl.1880) made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted brown below the waterline and black above. It is made up of several broad horizontal pieces of wood. Details include a flush deck, transom stern, a narrow strake just below the gunwale, a deep keel and rudder. The stern has a prominent overhang. The model is displayed on a wooden backboard, painted light grey, with a narrow frame. Areas of the light grey paint are eroded in places back to the bare wood and within these bare areas can be seen stations marked by regularly-spaced vertical lines. The backboard has two fixing holes on its left- and right-hand sides.
