G BRADFORD 00 MINORIES near TOWR HILL LONDON
Bowl-Brass, glazed, with inside painted white. Lead weight at the base, set in double gimbals.
Card-Mica covered on both sides. Hand decorated. Black with white markings graduated to points. Has decorated East point. Amount of red wax on reverse of card.
Needle-Flar bar type expanded at centre to take pivot cap 3.75" (9.5cm) x 0.4" (1cm). Attached to card by two rivets.
Pivot-Brass spike at centre of bowl and a jewelled pivot cap.
Binnacle-Wooden cubicle type with single window. Has lamp at top which is separated from compass chamber by a plate of glass. A small door at front for access to compass.
