Description: | Study of the stern and port quarter of an early English ship. On the tafferel above three stern windows is an English royal arms. On the rail above are dolphins with ?CR? between. Possibly one of Rupert?s ships, drawn at Hellevoetsluis in 1648; the most likely is the ?Swallow?, built in 1634.
This is an unsigned drawing by the Younger in pen and black ink and wash over slight pencil-work with a little pen and brown ink on parts of the stern decoration.
