Description: | Scale: 1:100. Waterline model of the Captain Scott (1971), a three-masted topsail schooner. The scenic base has a painted plaster sea, with a wooden surround and a maker's plaque attached to the base on the portside of the ship. The hull is painted red below the waterline, with black upper works, a painted figurehead and trail board at the bow and deck accommodation and superstructure painted white. Fixtures include: a fully enclosed bridge at the stern, five lifeboats, companionways, a windlass in the bow. There are five figures mounted on the deck. All the sails are fully set and a red ensign is flying from the peak of the gaff on the mizzen mast. "Captain Scott Stornaway" inscribed on the stern. Plaques are inscribed "Captain Scott" and "Made by Comdr. M. Norman, DSC, RN, Jamestown, Strathpeffer".
