Description: | Scale: 1:96. A block design model of the ?Berwick? (1743), a 70-gun, two-decker ship of the line. The name ?Brunswick? appears mistakenly on the starboard broadside. Its dimensions agree roughly with those of the ?Berwick? of 1743, although the model shows too many ports on the quarterdeck. The ?Berwick? was built at Deptford; it took part in the battle off Toulon in 1744 and was broken up in 1760. It was 151 feet in length and just over 43 feet in breadth. It weighed 1224 tons burden and had a complement of 470 men. It carried twenty-six 24-pound guns on the gun deck, twenty-six 12-pounders on the upper deck, fourteen 6-pounders on the quarterdeck and four 6-pounders on the forecastle.
