Description: | IA
In the middle distance there is a starboard-bow view of a ship with her main topsail filled on the port tack and her fore-topsail half-mast high and aback. In the far distance there is an admiral all aback in starboard-broadside view, and many other ships under easy sail.
The work is one of a group of nine drawings (PAD0704, PAD0705,
PAD0706, PAF6777, PAF6778, PAF6779, PAF6780, PAF6781, PAF6782) which, by subject and watermark, probably relate to de Ruyter's voyage to Bergen in autumn 1665.
Box Title: Van de Velde, Ingram No 5, 888-948.
