Description: | This non-achromatic telescope has a decagonal barrel covered with green baize. There is a single draw tube made of green vellum, which has three black stop lines drawn onto it to indicate the different working lengths of the telescope according to the distance of the object being viewed. The other fittings are of ivory, although both the objective lens assembly and the eyepiece cap are now missing, as is part of the end of the barrel.
The length of the telescope suggests that it was mainly intended for astronomical observations and would have been supported by some sort of stand when in use.
Focal length; 5.1". Green baize cover.
