Description: | Pocket watch in a hallmarked silver pair-case. It has a full-plate capped fusee movement, signed and numbered, with the balance cock engraved 'DETACHED', with a lever escapement and plain balance. The watch has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, and spade and poker hands. Stop-action with lever.
Inscription. AQN: Foulkes, R K (owner).. Both cases assayed Chester 1821/22, case-maker 'NL'. Silver pair-cased watch. Full-plate movement (capped), with single-roller lever escapement, plain steel balance. Jewelled with 'Liverpool windows'.
