The barrel of this achromatic telescope is covered in dyed rayskin (shagreen). It has four draw tubes made of green vellum, except for the second draw tube, which is covered in dark green paper and may be a later replacement. Most of the fittings are brass and include a sliding eyepiece cover, although the objective lens cap is missing.
The maker's name is stamped onto the largest draw tube. Stop lines drawn on the draw tubes (shown as rings of dots) indicate the optimum viewing length of the telescope.
Focal length; 53.5". O.G.diameter 1.6".
