Description: | The stern and quarter-gallery only viewed from the starboard quarter.
On the tafferel, the arms of Leeuwarden, a lion rampant, on a crowned shield between swags of fruit or foliage. On the counter is the view of a town, presumably Leeuwarden; and just above it, the name and date ?Ano Leeu ward 16(? 01).?
Inscribed on the back in pencil in large Gothic letters ?leeu waarden?, perhaps by the artist, copying the form of lettering on the ship?s counter.
This is a pencil drawing y the Younger, signed ?W.V.VJ.? It has been rubbed on the back showing that an offset may have been taken from it.
