Description: | Turkish order awarded to Admiral of the Fleet, Earl David Beatty, G C B in 1898. Obverse: Cut silver star of seven points, between the arms are seven small crescents and stars. In the centre is the sultan's cypher on a gold ground: surrounded by a crimson enamelled band with a Turkish inscription. Suspended by a gold star and crescent enamelled red, from a crimson ribbon, bordered with two narrow green stripes and rosette. Mounted on a bar as worn with 13 other medals.
