The badge has an attachment loop on its back.The figure of St Roch is in the centre, wearing a pilgrim's hat, with a bag and a staff (on right). He is exposing a plague sore at his groin. On the right is a small dog rearing up his staff and on the left is a kneeling supplicant. St Roch was associated with pilgrimage and the plague. He is associated with Montpelier in France where he has a shrine.
