Description: | A cast copper alloy harness fitting or mount, of probable late Iron Age or early Roman date.The object appears to be complete. The object is circular in plan with a central field of decorative openwork depicting an anti-clockwise swastika design with a central circular boss. This is formed from cast or pierced irregular L shaped holes which create the angular arms of the cross.File marks are visible on the rear of the object. There is no visible form of attachment. The object has a dark green patina and is in very good condition.
